Rev. Maxcin John accepts invitation to be chief guest at MAEP 2019Missionary Awareness Exhibition Programme 2019 (MAEP 2019) and Mission Sunday is organised by Church of South India at CSI Home Church, Karungal. Rev. John Jebadhas, Presbyter will preside the programme. Rev. Maxcin John, Director for Mission and Evangelism Department of the Church of South India Synod will be taking part at the Missionary Awareness Exhibition Program as the Chief Guest. Bro. R. Sunil, Director of Grace Transformation Ministries, Uttar Pradesh will deliver the Lord’s message. This programme commences on May 25th, 2019 and ends on May 26th, 2019. More than 25 Missionary Organizations may participate the above said programme. Adv. T. Hubertson, Convener of MAEP 2019 and Mr. S. Christopher, Convener, Committee for Mission Work make the arrangements.

Rev. Maxcin John, Director for Mission and Evangelism

Rev. Maxcin John hails from the East Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India. He has a missionary background since he joined as a Missionary in East Kerala Diocese and served the Cheenthalar Mission Field between 1997-1999. Later, he studied Bachelor of Divinity (B.D) at Kerala United Theological College, Thiruvananthapuram. He started his Parish Ministry in 2003 after the deacon ordination as he was appointed as the Assistant Vicar for CSI Christ Cathedral in Melukavu.
His international exposures began with his participation in the Youth Global Meet in Germany in 2000. He had done his Master of Theology (M.Th) at Tainan Theological College and Seminary (TTCS) in Taiwan between 2009-2010. He served as the Bishop’s Secretary cum Chaplain between 2007-2009 and General Secretary for Diocesan Youth Department and Christian Education Department of the East Kerala Diocese between 2010-2012. He was appointed as the Vicar in CSI Christ Church, Toronto in Canada between 2012-2015 where he was elected as the President for Kerala Ecumenical Churches in 2014 and participated in CSI North American Council in 2015.
Once he was back in Kerala, he was appointed as Mission Coordinator for the East Kerala Diocese and after a year as the Director of Mission & Evangelism Department, East Kerala Diocese and the Secretary for Overseas Partnership Office and the General Secretary for ‘Sannadha Suvishesha Sangam’ (Voluntary Gospel Movement). He was one of the members of the team visited the South Korea in the current year, which was a partnership programme between the Church of South India (CSI) and the Presbyterian Church in Korea (PCK).
